River Gent! Katie and River
were love at first sight, and
we've already had great
reports on how he's doing
at his new home, where he
goes by the name of "Finn"
(as in Huck Finn). River
Gent has a great home and
we hope to see him at the
shows!
Jump Building Weekend at
Sorrows End Farm!! Apr. 10
and 11.
Sorrows End would like to
thank the crew of students
and friends who showed up
to work on the cross
country course! Armed with
chainsaws, posthole
diggers, and a tractor, 15
volunteers built 12 new
jumps, for a total of more
than 20 jumps in the
course. Already, we are
having lots of fun
schooling the new fences,
which include a ditch,
several banks, several
combination jumps, coops,
oxers and more.
Congratulations to Felicia
Wichtman of Corryton,
Tenn. on the purchase of
Nikko. Felicia is a
wonderful rider who
needed an athletic horse to
move up in eventing on.
She and Nikko are perfect
for each other! We expect
to hear great things from
them as they advance in
their partnership together.
Cat Nippin has been sold!!
She is now foxhunting in
Kentucky, and enjoying her
new job.

Nashville, Tenn. on the
purchase of "Clarion."
(Clarion is half-brother to
Ondulee, above). Susan
will be finishing Clarion's
training and plans to event
with him. Clarion is a
wonderful young horse
who is an excellent
example of the
level-headedness and
athleticism that has
become a hallmark of the
Sutton Place Farm
breeding program. We
expect to hear great things
from these two!

14.1 hands. Jay-J has been there, done that. She has shown,
evented, foxhunted - you name it. She is a great jumper, "point
and click" to the fences, finds her own distance, no problems
making striding down the lines, and never stops or refuses.
She is quiet, bombproof, and kid safe -- nothing bothers her.
Lots of fun to ride, but very safe and knows her job. Great large
pony for a kid, young adult or smaller adult rider. Would be
perfect for jumpers or eventing, or just a great all-around pony.
Trail ride one day, showing the next. No vices, easy keeper,
ready to go. Currently pinning in the top 3 places at jumper and
dressage shows!
